James Mizrahi

James “Jim” Mizrahi passed away July 11 th , 2023 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres Fl. He is survived by his Wife Shirley Mizrahi, his brother Lee Mizrahi, his son Stacy Mizrahi and his granddaughter Meghan Mizrahi. Jim was born in the Bronx, NY 1946 the son of Louis Mizrahi Kathleen (Kay) Berg. James was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4174 and the America Legion Post 323. James graduated from the American College with a Master of Science of Management and Master of Science of Financial Services. He was a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Charted Life Underwriter. After his service in the U.S. Army, James started his career at the American Kennel Club in New York City. He then proceeded to working in financial services sector, which would dominate the rest of his working career. He worked for nearly a decade at Integon Insurance of Winston-Salem, NC, having been both the Vice President of Regional Marketing and Training Director. James had also been the Training director at Marketing One of Portland, OR and Assistant VP for Marketing Support at United States Life. Jim and Shirley had both moved to Lehigh Acres in 1974 from Piscataway, New Jersey. Jim was a commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America and was a scout-leader for nearly a decade. Jim was an active wood turner and spent hours on various projects in his garage shop. Any friend of Jim’s would be gifted one of his hand made pens fresh from his lathe. Jim will be remembered for his sharp wit and education around personal finance. Countless students credit him with the positive influence he had on their lives. A memorial service will be conducted at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4174 July 23 rd at 4pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to VFW Post 4174 to assist in their efforts to aid veterans. Please address any checks to VFW Post 4174 at 25 Homestead Rd S.
