It’s already March!

February was our Annual Wisp Getaway

Between work, the ice and snow storms, I’ve been too busy to notice that the calendar flipped over to March! Two months down in 2021 and I barely felt it. It’s been a crazy winter, but we made the most of it. I took Meghan to a nearby hill which feels more like a mini mountain. Makes for a great sled ride but that march back uphill will wear you down quick! I also accidently left my skis at the resort so whoever finds them is going to have a sweat set of KRs. “So Stacy, how the heck did you leave your ski’s at the resort?”, I hear you asking. Well, it starts with my daughter. Every year, kids grow. I wish they would stop that! And every year, I make a choice – should I rent or buy ski equipment for her. Two years ago I bought ski boots and skis for her, and I got two great years out of it. This year, the snow came with a punch and we didn’t really plan ahead. I decided I wasn’t going to waste time with buying used ski stuff so I got ski rentals. The crappy thing about this is that you have to manage your own stuff while also fiddling with the rental hassle (waiting in lines, holding all her stuff). When we went back to the return the ski equipment, I rested my skis on a railing – thinking I was being smart so I wouldn’t have to lug them around the lodge. When I eventually got back to the car – I packed everything else and drove home. But I spaced on the fact that the skis were not one of the things I had lugged back to the car. After 2 1/2 hour drive, I realized what I had done. It hurts my soul – I loved those skis. Next year I know what to add to my Christmas list.
